Toronto, ON – The members of IAM Local Lodge 1295 have ratified a new collective agreement with the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The four-year deal provides wage increases of 2.5 per cent in the first and second year and 3 per cent in the third and fourth year. Other agreement highlights include:
- Increased pension contributions
- Increased show shoe allowance
- Increased midnight shift premium
- Increased vision care benefit
- Improvements to shift cancellation and vacation language
“Special thanks to Chief Steward Bruno Saullo and the negotiations committee for all of their hard work,” said IAM District Lodge 78 Directing Business Representative Kim Valliere. “The members were extremely pleased with their new agreement and understand the value of belonging to the IAM.”
The 135 members consist of kitchen staff, housekeeping staff, restaurant staff, banquets staff, front office staff and maintenance personnel. The IAM represents workers hotels in Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, Hamilton, London and Orleans.
