IAM Local Lodge 2113 raised $1,335 for the Scarborough Women’s Centre through a bake sale held by its Women’s Committee at its workplace, Veoneer, on November 18-19, 2019.
“We will definitely do another charity event in the future”, said Penny Frangou, a member of the Local 2113 Women’s Committee, commenting on the success of the fundraiser.
The Scarborough Women’s Centre offers free programs and services to assist women and youth who have suffered from abuse achieve economic and emotional independence for future success.
Food Drive
The IAM Local Lodge 2113 Women’s Committee is also holding a Christmas food drive and is accepting donations up until December 11, 2019.
