On December 10, 2019, IAM Local Lodge 1922 President Jerry Jarosz dropped off donations of feminine hygiene products for the United Way’s Tampon Tuesday.
The donations were collected at Magellan Aerospace from the members of 1922 and other employees.
Tampon Tuesday is a nation-wide initiative championed by the United Way with support from unions across Canada to raise awareness of the barriers vulnerable people face in accessing menstrual products. The campaign started in London, Ontario in 2009.
