An election will take place on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the District Office, 557 Dixon Road, Suite 102, Etobicoke, Ontario. Only members in good standing of Local 1922 will be permitted to vote in the elections. Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The candidate who receives the highest number of votes for each office shall be declared elected. The elected candidate will serve the remainder of the three-year term.
In accordance with the IAM Constitution, any member entitled to receive an absentee ballot shall make a written request by mail to the Recording Secretary of Local 1922 at the above address no later than 21 days before the election.
To qualify for an absentee ballot, a member must:
- Reside more than 40 Kilometers from the polling place;
- At work during the voting times;
- Confined because of illness or injury;
- On leave qualifying under Canadian Family leave laws;
- Working members on vacation or retirees more than 40 Kilometers away from their residence on election day;
- On official IAM Business;
- On employer travel assignment;
- On military leave.
