IAM Local lodge 1922 celebrates the retirement of Trustee Dennis Hanley, who, after 24 years as an IAM member, leaves big shoes to fill.
While working full-time as a Senior Metallurgical Technician at Magellan Aerospace, and in addition to serving as Trustee for the local, Dennis also put in additional hours for fifteen years to protect his fellow workers as Joint Health and Safety Representative, going above and beyond to make Magellan a safer place for all workers.
When the pandemic struck, Dennis was a the forefront, fighting for the necessary health and safety measures to protect essential workers and their families.
We wish Dennis well in his retirement and next steps in Ottawa.
