IAM Local Lodge 1922 is going strong, with another great turnout at our March General Meeting at the District 78 office on March 9, 2020.
A big thank you to all our members for coming out and doing the work that makes our union strong!
Discussion and motions at the meeting included:
- Celebrating the 1922 Women’s Committee’s International Women’s Day (IWD) initiatives, including attending the Peel Regional Labour Council’s IWD Brunch (March 1) and distributing bouquets to the fantastic women that power Magellan Aerospace.
- Sending members to the Political Action Symposium at the Winpisinger Center, April 14-17, 2020.
- Sending delegates to the Ontario Provincial Council of Machinists meeting in Ajax, June 5-7, 2020.
Be sure to attend our next IAM Local Lodge 1922 General Meeting (rescheduled for April 6 due to Easter Monday). Don’t forget to bring a guest!
Members will be notified if the upcoming General Meeting has to be rescheduled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
