At the general meeting held on January 12, 2026, the following members were duly nominated for the position of Vice-President:
- Sister Valerie Roberts
- Brother Giovanni Smillo
The election will be conducted on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the District Office, located at 557 Dixon Road, Suite 102, Etobicoke, Ontario.
Voting will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Only members in good standing of Local 1922 will be eligible to vote.
The candidate receiving the highest number of votes shall be declared elected and will serve the remainder of the current three-year term.
In accordance with the IAM Constitution, members entitled to receive an absentee ballot must submit a written request by mail to the Recording Secretary of Local 1922 at the above address. Requests must be received no later than 21 days prior to the election date.
A member may qualify for an absentee ballot if they meet one or more of the following conditions:
- Reside more than 40 kilometers from the polling location
- Are required to work during voting hours
- Are confined due to illness or injury
- Are on leave qualifying under Canadian family leave laws
- Are working members on vacation or retirees who are more than 40 kilometers from their residence on election day
- Are conducting official IAM business
- Are on an employer-required travel assignment
- Are on military leave
